10:43 am on 2 June 2008

Displaced tsunami victims in Solomon Islands Western Province are reportedly running out of patience over the slow pace of reconstruction.

Local radio stations are reporting questions are also being raised over the report of the Gizo Rehabilitation Committee which was done in the past weeks.

The Committee sent the report to the local MP, Gordon Darcy Lilo.

The Solomon Islands Broadcasting Corporation reports that a community elder in Sageragi Village is questioning where money has gone that should have begun to be disbursed in April.

The community leader is calling on Mr Lilo to inform them of what is happening with the assistance.
