American Samoa Governor, Togiola Tulafono, has designated July 11th as clean up day in preparation for the Pacific Arts Festival.

The governor has encouraged directors to have a skeleton staff manning offices that day while the rest get down to some serious cleaning up.

The ASG clean up will focus on the Bay Area from Aua to Fagaalu.

Each department will be assigned an area to tackle.

The American Samoa Environmental Protection Agency will coordinate the clean up with the Arts Festival Beautification Committee.

Before the Arts Festival begins on July 20th, the territory will also be hosting more than 200 educators from the US Pacific territories, New Zealand and Samoa who are attending the Pacific Educators Conference from July 14th to the 17th
