This is the the second commemorative stamp for American Samoa in its 108 year history as a US territory.
The last one in 2000 commemorated 100 years since American Samoa became a territory of the United States,
At the unveiling of the stamp, local Post Master Smitty McMoore said the stamp provided a special opportunity for the territory.
