Clothing manufacturer in Fiji's Northern Division blooms

A clothing manufacturer in Fiji's Northern Division says business has continued to bloom despite the financial struggle against food and fuel price increase.

Sean Cody, who owns Winward Apparel in Savusavu town, said comments by business people in Viti Levu that shops have closed and business has been low because of financial constraints, was not the case with the local tourism sector which has been his major client.

Mr Cody said that since the start of the year, he had received orders from resorts and hotels in the North and the Western Division which was a sign of good business.

He told the Fiji Times the orders included the printing of T-shirts, wrap-around sulu, caps, shirts and other patterns for hotels and resorts.

Mr Cody said the increase in orders meant hotel and resort bookings were high as well.
