The Solomon Islands Government says it needs 241 million US dollars from donor partners in order carry out its development policies.

The Government has carried out a high level consultative meeting with representatives of the diplomatic corps, the donor community and international organizations in Honiara.

In presenting his government's development policy, the Minister of Planning, Steve Abana, says the rural areas are the most in need.

He says the government can only implement its policies with the assistance of its donor partners.
