Television Tonga 2 is being launched as part of commemorating the 47th anniversary of the Tonga Broadcasting Commission.
This new channel will include a variety of programmes, including sports, movies, other foreign programs and a 6-hour programme from Chinese TV.
The TBC's General Manager, 'Elenoa 'Amanaki, says the station's milestones have been the establishment of an FM station in 1986, the launch of the Television department in 2000 and establishing a branch in Vava'u last year.
Tonga Broadcasting Commission was established by the late Queen Salote Tupou III in 1961 as an AM radio station, known as ZCO.
