The new French high commissioner to French Polynesia, Adolphe Colrat, has arrived in Tahiti to replace Anne Boquet who returned to France a week ago.
He was received by President Gaston Tong Sang.
However, the assembly president and mayor of Faa'a, Oscar Temaru, was not there nor was any of the pro-autonomy politicians who are now part of the opposition coalition.
