The Samoan lobby group People Against Switching Sides remains confident its legal action against the new law to switch the side of the road people drive on will not be struck out.

The law provides for the switch to be effective from September the 6th next year.

The group's lawyers have taken their objections to the court in an effort to get the legislation revoked.

The strike out motion by Attorney General Aumua Ming Leung Wai has been adjourned until August the 4th.

Judge Vui Clarence Nelson granted leave for the group to amend their legal action.

The group's chairman Toleafoa Solomona Toailoa says they have a solid case.

"Because there are very, very, important issues that the court has to look at and its good for this country, its good for the constitution of this country and its good also for the future generation of this country that the court hears these issues in detail and deal with it."

He says many people still fear the switch will cause a number of road accidents and unnecessary deaths.
