The Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic's two point win over the Adelaide Thunderbirds to advance to the trans Tasman netball final will serve them well says Silver Ferns coach Ruth Aitken.

The Magic play the New South Wales Swifts in Sydney tonight in the final, after losing by a point to the Swifts in Hamilton a couple of weeks ago, in the game to decide which team would host the final.

The Swifts are unbeaten at home this year and have won their past eight matches but Aitken is picking the trophy will come to Hamilton.

"The extra game they had on Monday night, and for it to be so successful in so many different ways will really give them a lot of confidence and I think in the end that past history that no other ANZ championship team has won there will be beside the point they've got the potential to do it but it won't be easy yes my money will certainly be on them"
