The American Samoa Chamber of Commerce has invited candidates in the gubernatorial and congressional races to address both members and

non-members regarding each candidate's platforms for improving the territory's economic condition.

Chamber president, David Robinson, says this is an opportunity for candidates to advise the business community on their platforms, instead of only hearing it through the media.

Asked about any major issue the Chamber wants the candidates to address, Mr Robinson said, the major one is what the candidates can and will do to

improve the territory's economy.

He says the private sector would like to see solid economic development that will provide new investments, especially new employment opportunities.

The Chamber has offered the candidates two dates in August, September and October to address the private sector.
