Fiji's interim Attorney-General says his country will hold its own forum to discuss future elections, but New Zealand is not invited.

Attorney-General, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says Fiji' has invited United Nations and Commonwealth officials to its own election forum.

But he says New Zealand won't be included.

"Why should it be? This is a problem that is a Fijian problem. It is all the Fijian political parties - and I mean Fijian in the national sense of the word - where all the registered political parties will participate and discuss the electoral reform that has been suggested."

Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says Fiji is still willing to enter constructive talks with New Zealand.
