Suspended Solomon Islands public servant returns to work

10:19 am on 18 September 2008

The suspended Solomon Islands Permanent Secretary for Provincial Government who was stood down for accidently showing pornographic pictures to the Prime Minister and Provincial Premiers during their annual meeting, is back at work.

Our correspondent in Honiara, Richard Toke, says the man was reinstated because there was no one to replace him as chairman of the conference.

Last year the Permanent Secretary for Public Service issued a strongly worded memorandum to public servants reminding them that no pornographic materials should be stored in Government computers and laptops.
