Samoa's Football Soccer Federation has been suspended after repeatedly violating their obligations as an Oceania Football Confederation member.

This followed a meeting in Auckland on Saturday where eight of the 11 OFC board members voted to suspend Samoa immediately.

The OFC general secretary says the lack of good administration and other issues in Samoa has led to debts mounting to thousands of dollars and there was no other option but suspension.

"At this stage no allegations of misappropriation, it's just more mismanagement, and what has happened is that FIFA has set up a new administration to come in but the current administration led by Toetulu Roebek Toetulu of funds"
