Fiji Television Limited is the complainant in the 68 charges of theft laid against owner and Chief Executive Officer of Samoa's defunct LAUTV, Tuiasau Leota Uelese Petaia.

The Samoa Observer reports that last week the court granted the defence lawyer's request of an adjournment to allow time for police to submit all the charges to him.

The court has adjourned until tomorrow and Tuiasau has been remanded on bail.

The alleged offences cover the period from September last year to April this year.

Tuiasau is a former Chief Executive Officer of the state owned television station, and a former editor of the Samoa Observer and now defunct Samoa Times.

He was also the vice-president of the Pacific Islands News Association.
