An Australia man, Simon Macartney, has been found guilty by Fiji's High Court of murdering his wife last year.
He was accused of killing his Fiji-born wife Ashika Lata Macartney, after her strangled and decomposed body was found under a tree on the side of a road.
Macartney will face sentencing tomorrow, but his father said they would file an appeal to the nation's Supreme Court as soon as possible.
Macartney had maintained his innocence since his arrest last year
In the past, he has said he would rather die than return to Suva's Korovou Prison, where he was taken soon after his arrest.
