The number of tourists visiting French Polyensia has continued to drop.
Figures just released for September show another 4.3 percent decline over the same month last year.
The drop in the number of Japanese visitors has led to a 16 percent decline for the year so far, leaving the 2008 figures as low as in 2000.
For the year so far, tourist numbers have fallen by more than 13,000 over 2007 - a decline of 8.3 percent.
