Two representatives of a French petroleum supplier were in American Samoa last month to look at location operations of BP Southwest Pacific in Pago Pago.

BP Southwest Pacific announced in August that the company was investigating the possible sale of its South Pacific assets including American Samoa.

Office of Petroleum official Sione Kava said the two officials from TOTAL were in the territory for a day and they looked at the government's Tank Farm and local BP operations.

BP operates the government-owned tank farm in Utulei and along with Mobil Oil supplies petroleum products for the territory.
