Survey shows Fiji people worried about unemployment and high cost of living

A new poll shows people in Fiji are worried about unemployment and the cost of living, with politial instability coming in third.

The Fiji Times reports of the 1156 people interviewed for the poll, 28 per cent rated political instability as the top issue facing Fiji today.

About 51 per cent of those interviewed listed unemployment as the biggest issue facing them while 48 per cent were concerned about the high cost of living.

The interviewees were asked to list any issue affecting them, some of which included crime, peer pressure, family problems, poverty and education costs.
