Energy firm to donate power to CNMI schools, hospital

A company who wants to invest in renewable energy in the Northern Marianas,

Synergy Power Corporation, says it will donate power.

Joe Salas, the firm's vice president for sales and marketing says it will donate power to the Commonwealth Health Center, the schools, the manamko' center and the Oleai sports complex.

The Marianas Variety newspaper reports Synergy is offering the CNMI a power supply from wind turbine models that can generate up to 50 megawatts of electricity.

David van Over, chairman and CEO of Synergy Power says that the firm would create over 50 jobs.
