Fiji to get relief funds from New Caledonia

Authorities in New Caledonia have approved an emergency financial package of US$115,000 to help Fiji's flood victims.

Oceania Flash reports that the financial aid was approved unanimously in an emergency resolution during the latest sitting of New Caledonia's territorial Congress.

The package will be transferred to the French embassy in Suva.

In French Polynesia, funds are being raised through the Rotary Club.
