Retired Fiji Supreme Court Judge, Sir Moti Tikaram has been awarded the prestigious "Sardar Vallabhai Patel Award" in India.
The award which is held yearly recognises hardworking people of Indian Origin who have contributed immensely to the development of their respective fields.
Sir Moti Tikaram's award was received by Fiji's High Commissioner to India, Savenaca Kaunisela.
Mr Kaunisela says that Sir Moti is a living example of the many hard working People of Indian Origin in Fiji .
Sir Moti Tikaram was also a former Ombudsman and retired President of the Fiji Court of Appeal.
