American Samoa to get new air traffic control tower

American Samoa's Port Administration Department hopes a new air traffic control tower at the Pago Pago International Airport will go ahead soon after 2-million US-dollars was set aside for the project two years ago.

It hopes the project, which was delayed because of issues including more funding being required to see the construction, starts in the next couple of months.

The Director of the Port Administration department, Matagi McMoore explained that the project would cost more than the 2-million dollars allocated by Congress.
