All workers in the education sector in Fiji are to undergo the same language learning programme that have been implemented for children in schools.

"Known as Conversational Fijian and/or Conversational Hindi, the language classes begin tomorrow, ( Wedensday) , at the Ministry's headquarters."

In a statement the interim Education Minister, Filipe Bole, says the policy is part of a long-term and sustainable strategy for a peaceful and stable, multi-ethnic Fiji.

It concentrates on the compulsory teaching and learning of the Fijian and Hindi languages and also incorporate basic studies of both Hindi and Fijian culture.
