Rehabilitation of former combatants in Solomon Islands still to be decided on

The number of former combatants who will receive help under a rehabilitation package in Solomon Islands is to be decided on once a peace project is approved.

The Minister of Peace and Reconciliation, Sam Iduri, has told Parliament that about four-thousand-500 combatants are being considered.

But the Solomon Islands Broadcasting Corporation quotes the Minister as saying the actual number will be decided, after going through details of past assistance given to former combatants by various programmes
