10:09 pm on 21 April 2009

A Papuan activist, and spokesman for the West Papua National Committee, Victor Yeimo, claims his family's home in Nabire has been ransacked by Indonesian police.

Mr Yeimo, who was not present at the time, says police took his mother's house apart and badly damaged belongings while arresting three of his family members and keeping them in custody overnight.

He says they were questioned by police about his whereabouts and his livelihood.

Mr Yeimo has previously claimed to be an affiliate of the separatist Free West Papua Movement, or OPM.
