Police in Samoa have filed two sex charges against a former government minister, including one count of attempted rape and one of indecent assault.

The two complainants in the case, according to a police source, were employed by the former politician to work in his family home.

The charges were filed this week after a police investigation into sexual harassment allegations made initially to the Samoa Victim Support Group by the complainants.

The former minister's name has been withheld - the case is set to be called for mention in the Supreme Court in a little over a week.
