A woman in Samoa has been convicted of incest and sentenced to 18 months in jail after she pleaded guilty to having a sexual relationship with her 14-year old adopted son.
The presiding judge says the court must consider a custodial punishment for the accused because of the growing number of sexual offences that affect children.
The court heard the woman has several other adopted children whom she has raised with her husband.
