Guam's Governor, Felix Camacho, is leading a trade delegation of 150 business leaders to the Philippines to promote investment opportunities in Guam.

The Philippines newspaper, the Business Mirror, says a planned three-day trade conference will tout Guam's proximity to the Philippines, solid banking and telecommunications infrastructure, as well as the territory's U.S. rule of law as elements that make for a safe investment climate.

According to the Business Mirror, a variety of experts will discuss lucrative Guam opportunities in the areas of technology, medical services, real estate and construction, agriculture and captive insurance.

Guam is about to go through a period of significant growth due to developments for the transfer there of thousands of US marines from Okinawa.
