The Supreme Court in Samoa will this week hear a motion seeking to lift a name suppression order against a former government minister and high ranking village orator who is facing a string of abuse charges.

The former minister is facing twenty two sex charges including one of attempted rape, ten of indecent assault and eleven counts of unlawful intimidation.

The prosecution lawyers have filed more charges against the accused after the completion of police investigations.

The accused through his defence counsel has entered a not guilty plea to the charges and the trial is set to start in February next year.
