Solomons government wants public consultation on legislation

3:11 pm on 21 July 2009

The government in Solomon Islands has resolved that it wants public consultation on key legislation before it's put through the parliamentary process.

This comes as two bills, the Political Parties Integrity and the Enabling Constitutional Amendment Bills, are expected to be examined.

The usual process involves a bill being analysed by Government Caucus before going to parliament.
