More than 200 cases for dengue fever have been reported in the first half of the years in American Samoa

But LBJ hospital's chief medical officer, Taulapapa Dr. Aloiamoa Anesi, said there are fewer patients with dengue fever overall in the last four months.

But she said it was important to remain vigilant with preventative measures.

Taulapapa said that as long as there are positive cases and mosquitoes around, there will always be the risk of infection with dengue fever.
