American Samoa lawmakers reconvene today following a three-week mid-session recess.

The top of the agenda is the budget for fiscal year 2010, which begins on October 1st, 2009.

There has been no confirmation as yet from the governor's office as to when the budget will be submitted to the Fono.

Lawmakers are said to be very interested in the new salary levels for cabinet members following executive raises early this year, ranging from 5,000 to 15,000 US dollars.

Another issue of importance the House wants to tackle is the $1.3 million appropriation to provide funds to refurbish and upgrade the government owned MV Sili.

The U.S. Coast Guard has denied another extension for the certificate of inspection of the MV Sili until the government provides solid information there is funding in place for the required repairs.

Last week, the Coast Guard granted a one-time waiver to allow the government owned vessel to sail to the Manu'a island group over the weekend.
