The U.S. Marshal's Office has taken custody of the yacht owned by the Northern Marianas' jailed former lieutenant governor, Timothy Villagomez.
He was jailed last week on fraud charges.
The 10 metre yacht, Dr. V, is subject to a forfeiture case filed by the U.S . government.
A local judge, Alex Munson, directed the U.S. Marshal's Office to seize the vessel at the weekend.
