A field survey and a detailed design for improved water supply systems for Honiara City and Auki Township in Malaita Province is being completed by three Japanese experts.
Under a grant agreement 22 million US dollars is being provided for the two projects which are to be built from August 2010.
Before then the Solomon Islands Water Authority, SIWA, is to complete the preliminary construction work, using its own resources.
