A Fiji woman who was thought to be missing in American Samoa after last month's tsunami has been located in Samoa.

Mere Tomanogi Pereira was the last person on the American Samoa list of missing people after the disaster.

Betty Ah Soon of the Emergency Operations Center says one of Mrs Pereira's sons saw an article in the Samoa Observer about the American Samoan search.

"She is doing fine and they reside in Mota'a Apia. I think that is very good news for everybody, so we now rest assured that we do have any more people on our missing list report."
