Samoa's telecommunication corporation SamoaTel is celebrating a court ruling.
This follows the dismissal of mobile phone operator Digicel Samoa's appeal in the Samoa Supreme Court last week.
SamoaTel's Corporate Manager, Susan Hugget, says the court decision means a gross inequity has now been corrected with SamoaTel no longer continuing to overpay Digicel in interconnect payments.
SamoaTel says the ruling is likely to have a multi-million tala impact on the industry locally as well as in the Pacific region.
