The CNMI Office of Public Auditor is investigating an alleged payroll scam involving two employees at the Tinian Health Clinic.

The Public Auditor Michael Pai says the case stems from "payroll issues and time sheets" and involves two employees.

Among the alleged practices being looked at in the OPA investigation are double-dipping by certain employees, falsification of time sheets, and unauthorised payments of administrative leave.

The Tinian Health Clinic gets about a million US dollars in yearly operational funds from the CNMI general fund.
