From tomorrow free legal assistance will be available for American Samoa residents affected by the earthquake and tsunami in September.
The project is a partnership between the American Samoa Bar Association, the American Bar Association' Young Lawyers Division and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
The Emergency Operations Center spokesperson Betty Ah Soon says the free legal assistance is being offered to low income victims of the disaster.
The legal clinics will be held Monday through Saturday at the Disaster Registration Center and once a month on a Saturday outreach clinics will be held at affected villages.
They will provide legal advice and referrals for clients in areas such as securing FEMA assistance.
Other issues will be bankruptcy, civil rights, contracts, criminal law, employment, family, immigration, insurance, land disputes, probate, and worker's compensation.
