Papua New Guinea is to stage the 2010 Miss South Pacific Pageant after no other country presented a bid.
The decision was made during a meeting of the Pageant's board of directors in Suva where the 2009 version is being held.
Official events for this year's pageant begin tonight and continue until Saturday when the new Miss South Pacific is crowned.
