The Chairman of the Solomon Islands Foreign Relations Committee, Peter Boyers, says Solomon Islanders do not want the Regional assistance mission to Solomon Islands, RAMSI, to leave.

He says this is the view which members of the Foreign Relations Committee collected from communities nation-wide following consultations on the RAMSI inquiry.

Mr Boyers says many interviewees accept the Australian-led regional intervention forces continue to assure there is law and order.

He made the comment in presenting to parliament the Committee's Report on the Inquiry into the Facilitation of International Assistance Notice 2003 and RAMSI Intervention.
