The police in Samoa have charged the Minister of Education, Sports and Culture with traffic offences over his involvement in two separate car accidents last month.

The police prosecution yesterday was unable to reveal the charges against To'omata Alapati Po'ese the because the file was still with the traffic division.

However a prosecutor says the case will be heard for mention in the District court today.

It is the second time the case has been heard according to a police source after one of the accidents left the minister with a serious injury to his left leg.

The minister drove rental cars at the time of the accidents.
