A medical supplier for Guam Memorial Hospital has stopped releasing supplies to the hospital because of outstanding payments as old as two years.

The general manager of MidWest Medical Supplies, Ben Manibusan, says the hospital owes his company more than 500,000 US dollars of which 29,000 is from six months to over two years outstanding.

Mr Manibusan says the company won't release any more supplies until the hospital makes a payment of at least 21,000 dollars.

The Pacific Daily News says the hospital owes about US$8-point-6 million overall to its vendors of which about 5.2 million is more than 90 days past due.
