A team from the US Environmental Protection Agency has arrived in American Samoa to dispose of hazardous materials left by last September's tsunami.
The manager of the Air and Land Programme at the local EPA, Will Sili, says the materials collected after the tsunami include oil drums, batteries, paints, and chemicals.
Mr Sili says the team, which will be in Pago Pago for two weeks, is also collecting any hazardous materials from households.
They will pick up acids, detergents, pesticides and other types of chemicals.
