The Fiji High Court has accepted a request by the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption to transfer its case against a prominent international human rights lawyer, Imrana Jalal, to the Department of the Public Prosecutor's Office.
Ms Jalal, who is a member of the International Commission of Jurists, is accused of seven counts relating to not having displayed a licence at a Suva restaurant which she owned with her husband.
The case was in the magistrate's court last week but on request of the anti-corruption agency it was transferred to the High Court.
The website Fijivillage says the case will be called again on March 4th.
