The government in American Samoa has been ordered by the High Court to pay 200 thousand US dollars to the MYD Samoa shipyard to allow renovation work on the government owned MV Sili to resume.

MYD Samoa halted repair work more than three weeks ago claiming the government hadn't paid money it owed.

The government had petitioned the court to order MYD to return to work, arguing that the company failed to comply with the contract agreement.
