The ANZ Amerika Samoa Bank has launched internet banking in Pago Pago.
The company's CEO in American Samoa, David Whitby, says internet banking provides customers with a convenient alternative to traditional over-the-counter transactions where they can use a computer to access an instant online banking experience.
Mr Whitby says ANZ is keen to make banking uncomplicated and this initiative will provide a simple, effective and safe banking solution for customers in American Samoa.
He says the bank also has a range of security measures in place such as data encryption, firewalls and the latest security technology to protect customers against unauthorised transactions.
The launch of internet banking in American Samoa is part of a program to introduce or upgrade internet banking facilities for ANZ customers in 15 countries in Asia Pacific.
