Tosusu appointed as new Vanuatu ombudsman

Vanuatu's president has appointed Pasa Tosusu as the country's fourth ombudsman.

Mr Tosusu, who is from Santo, has spent 15 years as an auditor and 15 years as an senior investigators with the office of the ombusdman.

He says during his five-year term, his priority is to amend the ombudsman act and the leadership code.

He says the amendment is to give more power to the ombudsman to get leaders prosecuted.
