Nauru's Parliament is expected to sit today to elect a president, speaker and deputy speaker.
It follows a poll on Saturday which returned exactly the same MPs to parliament.
The President Marcus Stephen had called the election last month, saying repeated votes of no confidence in his administration were disrupting the functioning of parliament and the government.
The director of the government information office, Joanna Olsson, says the results showed the new parliament would be unchanged following the election.
A total of 86 candidates stood in the election and just over 5200 votes were cast.
