In Samoa, the two by-elections for Safata and Faleata west constituencies get underway today.
Two former Tautua Samoa party candidates will run against four ruling HRPP party candidates.
Lealailepule Rimoni Aiafi of Tautua Samoa is running against Ale Vena and Ulugia Petelo of HRPP in Faleata west.
In Safata, Tautua Samoa candidate, Palusalue Faapo II, will be running against Auseugaefa Vaasatia Poloma Komiti and Manu'alesagalala Enokati of the HRPP.
The by-elections were announced in April following the new amendments to the Electoral Act.
Polling booths will open at nine this morning and close at 3 this afternoon with the preliminary results to be announced by the office of the Electoral Commissioner later in the evening.
