The New Zealand foreign minister has named a new High Commissioner to the Cook Islands.
Linda Te Puni, who has been the Acting High Commissioner in Rarotonga, will take up the position which became vacant following the death of Tia Barrett.
Ms Te Puni was most recently the Deputy Director of the Pacific Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
She has also served in Paris, Mexico City, Apia, Honiara and Suva.
